Documents for use in France should be certified by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office by way of Apostille (“FCO”).

The legalisation fee is presently £75 per document. If lodged before 2pm, the documents will be processed the same day.

The FCO currently has two legalisation offices. The Legalisation office open to the public is located in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. The FCO will charge £30 per Apostille certificate. Documents will need to be signed before a London Notary Public, and then notarised, before being presented to the FCO.

If Notary Clients ever need to deal with The French Embassy, it is located at:

21 Cromwell Road
